Italian Sausage with Bow Ties
1 pkg (16 oz) bow tie pasta
1 lb of Italian sausage
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic (yea, hubby said he looked everywhere for this in the grocery)
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (I would prob. leave this out for me next time)
2 cans (14 1/2 oz each) Italian stewed tomatoes, drained and chopped
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried basil
Cook pasta according to pkg. directions. Meanwhile cook sausage, onion, garlic, and pepper flakes over med. heat for 4-5 min. or until meat is no longer pink, drain. Stir in tomatoes, cream, salt, basil. Bring to boil over med. heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 6-8 min. or until thickened {we had to add some flour to get it to thicken}, stirring occasionally. Drain pasta, toss with sausage mixture. Garnish with Parmesan cheese! This is SO yummy!
Italian Crock Pot Chicken
This next recipe is actually in my crock pot right now. I did get it from Pinterest. It's Italian Chicken and super easy, and yes- a crock pot recipe, which I love! I can fix dinner while I'm fixing breakfast and know it's done (well, for the most part)!2-4 chicken breasts (frozen)
8 oz. cream cheese
I can of Cream of Chicken Soup
I pack of dry Italian (or right now I'm trying out the Ranch) dressing
Put all in crock pot on low for 4-6 hours and serve with rice or pasta (I'm doing Rotini tonight). It's so easy, and good!
